Really? What albums have you listened to? Horslips literally brought poetry into their music. (See: The Tain)Maybe some of the later crap is shoddy, but The Tain and The Book of Invasions are fantastic in my opinion.

well, as an irish person, i would never put thin lizzy in the same category as the horselips; phil lynot brought poetry and personal experience to his lyrics; as for the horseslips...They always seemed to me as more of a novelty, 'st.paddy's day' band.
